Approx. 2 wks ago I came back to Metro from Verizon Total Wireless (Verizon's no contract / month to month cell plans). After activating my phone and hanging up with Metro customer service I made a call to check the service. As soon as the call connected Verizon somehow locked the phone. Everything including my # was frozen/locked in cellular limbo land. I could not receive the code Metro was sending to the locked phone and they were not able to access my account without this. After the 7th day and finally realizing there was no online or customer service solution they said I need to talk to someone in person. Metro suggested I go to one of the stores and they could help me.
I went to the Metro store on 8th Ave. Homestead PA. The owner was so extremely rude. He told me I did not purchase the phone or activate the service through him so he could not / absolutely would not help me. I even begged for him to call customer service and let them explain the process to fix the situation. He would not dial their number and he would not let me use their phone to call back to Metro customer service. It was extremely disappointing and aggravating especially with Verizon and now I was hoping that he was not an indication of how my service would be with Metro
The next day I tried again. I went to the Metro on E. Ohio st. Antoinette was working and I explained the situation to her. She took about 2-3 mins to absorb everything and then literally rectified the problem within 15 minutes if that. At the same time with a smile she even waited on other customers. She is absolutely amazing!! She took an extremely negative situation and turned it into the most positive customer service interactions I have ever had.
Antoinette, I cannot thank you enough. You went above and beyond. I just want you to know that I more than appreciate you.
